STEAM Club for Grades 4 & 5
Reported by email@example.com on 3/16/17
STEAM education refers to learning that takes place within these fields of study: science, technology, engineering, art and math. STEAM education promotes the investigation of branches of science and art through curiosity, inquiry, discovery, and experimentation.
Since the 2012-13 school year May Watts has had a STEM club. This year we are adding art as one of the fields to study and/or interact with. We’ve been lucky to have guest experts in certain fields visit the club and talk to children about their work. Students have had the chance to build, play around with, experiment, question, and create. If your child is interested in joining STEAM club please consider joining. This year, Mrs. Tawawalla, Ms. Rockey, and Mr. Vaid will be co-sponsoring the club.
The dates for our club meetings are the following in April: 12th, 19th, and 26th (All Wednesdays)
The dates for our club meetings are the following in May: 3rd, 10th, 17th (All Wednesdays)
Please know that space is limited to the first 26 fourth and fifth graders that sign up. We are accepting responses and sign-ups of the first 26 children. From there we will have to stop accepting responses.
